Due to expansion of our services in NSW, we have a casual, ongoing position available for an experienced registered nurse to join our community team working across the Sydney Metro area with shifts available Wednesday to Friday and adhoc some weekend work (if desired). The hours we can offer span between 7.00am and 5.00pm and offer family friendly flexibility. As well as working in the community, from time to time, there will also be an opportunity to do telehealth appointments with our RITH patients working in the comfort of your own home.
As a Community Nurse you will build rapport with your clients in their homes, whilst providing care and service to clients in line with their personalised care plans, including health assessments, chronic wound care and medication administration as well as providing education and support to the patient and their family.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care in the community in line with personalised care plans, including health assessments and education for patients and families.
- Provide chronic wound care and medication administration as required.
- Assist with telehealth appointments for RITH patients when applicable.
- Work autonomously with a patient-centred approach and maintain professional standards.
- Collaborate with other health professionals to coordinate care and respond to patient needs.
What will set you apart
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Working with children check/DCSI or equivalent
- Current driver’s licence & reliable vehicle
- 2 years’ recent acute experience & ability to spot client deterioration
- Experience in PICC care/dressing/removal
- Chronic wound care experience is a bonus as well as cannulation skills
- Competent IT skills/literacy
