2IC – Sommelier-Focused Floor Leader | The Woodshed Restaurant at Kin Kin Hotel
About Us
In the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, the Kin Kin Hotel has been restored and reimagined into one of Queensland's most exciting regional dining destinations — a place where hospitality feels genuine, food and wine have purpose, and people come to connect.
We are home to two distinct venues:
* The Kin Kin Hotel – a classic country pub with community spirit, warm service, and honest food
* The Woodshed Restaurant – a fire-led, degustation-only dining room, offering refined, regional storytelling through food and drink
What makes us different? We make everything ourselves. From hand-rolled pastries to freshly baked sourdough, from our house-churned butter to the vegetables grown in our own market garden — we control every element of the experience. The garden is still in its adolescence, but it's already producing. It's exciting. It's alive. And just like us, it's growing.
This commitment to detail, to seasonality, to honest craft — it runs through everything we do.
With more projects launching soon — boutique accommodation, curated workshops, special events — this is a rare opportunity to join a team building something truly special.
About the Role
We are searching for a 2IC with deep wine knowledge, strong floor presence, and an uncompromising love of true, ego-free hospitality to join our small, passionate leadership team.

* Help lead hospitality standards and service culture across both venues

* Be involved in the broader growth of the business — from our future accommodation arm to garden workshops and beyond
This Is for Someone Who…
* Has previous experience in a degustation dining environment

* Loves detail. Cares about the craft behind the product, whether it's a wine pour or a plate presentation
* Can commit to reasonable additional hours beyond our 4-day venue operation to do the job well
(But that won't feel like a chore — because you'll be surrounded by people who are just as obsessed as you are, building something you'll be proud of.)
What You'll Get
* A rare opportunity to help shape the beverage and service identity of a rising star venue
* Creative freedom and trust from ownership, with plenty of opportunity to lead
