Details
: The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a highly motivated Quality and Compliance Officer (CIT Solutions Transition)to support the CIT Solutions Transition Group.
The Quality and Compliance Officer (CIT Solutions Transition) is responsible for:
Provide specific advice and guidance on compliance matters in line with legislation, standards, and CIT policy and procedures.
Recommend necessary revisions to existing procedures and other relevant material.
Ensure non-compliances are managed appropriately by identifying quality issues with courses, learner files and/or records.
Collate and distribute data reports.
Contribute to audit processes, providing information and rectifications.
Monitor compliance and provide advice on regulatory requirements.
Implement continuous improvements and identify opportunities for efficiencies and innovation.
Coordinate and escalate complex compliance issues.
Review data entry for accuracy.
Review learner files for Quality Assurance, completeness and compliance.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders.
Organise and conduct compliance meetings and manage actions arising.
Contribute to monitoring of the enterprise risk management system.
Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures.
This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated application of VET compliance and standards.
Working in a dynamic commercial educational environment.
Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under theWorking with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra
Diploma of Training, Design and Development or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training is desirable.
Note:
This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
