The Role The Director, Experience Melbourne leads the branch responsible for positioning Melbourne as the events capital of Australia and a destination of choice for visitors. This is a pivotal leadership role with oversight of event strategy and delivery, visitor economy strategy, and a wide-ranging visitor services program. The Director plays a key role in delivering Experience Melbourne 2028, our destination management plan for the visitor economy. This strategy sets out a bold vision to attract more than 18 million annual visitors and contribute $16.8 billion to the city’s economy by 2028.
