The opportunity
We are currently hiring for a professional and reliable Dock Team Leader to join our growing team at our Tarneit Fulfilment Centre (3029). As a Dock Team Leader your role is critical to the success of our business where you will be challenged daily to improve areas of safety, efficiency and customer experience. You will be part of a collaborative team working within an environment where you are given every opportunity to succeed and progress your career. This position will be working on our morning shift from 3am.
What you'll be doing
Safety & Compliance
* WHS Leadership: Maintain a safe, compliant environment by identifying hazards and leading by example.
* Incident Reporting: Promptly document and report all safety or performance issues for management follow-up.
* Site Induction: Conduct WHS inductions and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) documentation for all drivers.
Team Leadership & Performance
* Supervision: Oversee daily operations, acting as the primary escalation point for shift issues.
* Coaching: Motivate the team to hit KPIs through regular observation, feedback, and performance evaluations.
* Communication: Conduct daily briefings and provide accurate end‐of‐shift reports.
* SOP Adherence: Ensure all team members follow standard operating procedures and high‐quality standards.
Operations & Logistics
* Management Support: Assist the Warehouse Manager in daily operations and shift checklist completion.
* Dispatch Coordination: Ensure all orders are sorted and collected by the correct carriers daily.
* Carrier Relations: Monitor and report driver performance to Ops and Logistics managers.
* Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts to facilitate loading, unloading, and dock organisation.
* Customer Experience: Drive satisfaction through timely service and accurate delivery.
