**About the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations**

**The Role**
Our Cyber Assurance Team works with program areas across the department to build and maintain secure systems to support delivery of government programs. The Department is looking for individuals with a strong interest or experience in Cyber Security Risk Analysis with a focus on Microsoft Azure to ensure our platforms are meeting the requirements of the department's cyber security framework and alignment with the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Information Security Manual controls.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Team Lead of Cyber Assurance, the Cyber Security Risk Analyst will:
- Be responsible for monitoring the cyber security health of Microsoft Azure environments using departmental security monitoring capabilities.
- Use your knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud environments, networking and security will support you in monitoring the department's Microsoft Cloud platforms, analyse risks and threats, developing security configuration designs, identifying Cyber risks, remediation opportunities and security category vector identification for inclusion in current monitoring to ensure Azure Microsoft Azure based services and systems are secure.
- Consult where appropriate across the relevant Departmental teams and produce reports and formal assessments.
