About the Role

Are you an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a busy, people-focused environment? We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join our Primary School team and play a vital role in supporting students, staff, and families.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a highly professional individual who thrives on variety, enjoys building positive relationships, and takes pride in delivering exceptional administrative support.

Reporting to the Head of School, Early Learning to Year 6, the Office Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support across the Primary School. As the first point of contact for many parents, students, and visitors, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the school office while contributing to a positive and welcoming environment. This position is available for an immediate start, with the successful applicant required to commence no later than 27 July 2026.

This position is part‐time, working 35 hours per week (8:00 am – 3:30 pm), term time only.

Key Focus Areas

* Provide high‐level administrative support to the Head of School, Deputy Heads of School, and Primary School staff.
* Manage parent, student, and community enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
* Assist with student attendance monitoring and follow‐up communication with families.
* Provide first‐line first aid support for ill or injured students and coordinate medical assistance when required.
* Maintain records, databases, documentation, and school communication systems.
* Support budget administration, including ordering supplies, processing invoices, petty cash management, and staff reimbursements.
* Coordinate bookings and logistics for school excursions and events, including the annual Canberra trip.
* Organise professional learning bookings, travel, and accommodation arrangements when required.
* Contribute to the effective operation of the Primary School office through teamwork, initiative, and excellent customer service.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student, staff, and school information.
* Promote and support a child‐safe culture and comply with all safeguarding and mandatory reporting requirements.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

* Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Office Administration, or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience in an administrative or office‐based role.
* First Aid qualifications or the willingness to obtain and maintain them.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
* The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
* High levels of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Advanced computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
* A commitment to child safety and an understanding of the National Child Safe Standards.
* A current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Employment) and the ability to provide a National Police Check (less than six months old).
