The Role
The Teacher Community Services is responsible for planning, delivering and assessing vocational education programs across a range of learning environments. The role supports students throughout their learning journey and contributes to the development of engaging, inclusive and industry-relevant training aligned with Melbourne Polytechnic's quality and compliance frameworks. Reporting to the Education Manager Community Services, this role suits an industry professional who is passionate about supporting learner success and preparing students for careers in community services.
What You'll Do
* Plan, deliver and assess vocational education and training aligned with accredited programs
* Create inclusive, safe and engaging learning environments for diverse learners
* Support student engagement, wellbeing and learning progress
* Develop and maintain teaching, assessment and learning resources
* Maintain accurate training, attendance and assessment records
* Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities
* Engage with industry networks and maintain vocational currency
* Contribute to student orientation, course selection and learner support initiatives

* Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience in community services
* Demonstrated commitment to learner-centred teaching practices
* Strong understanding of VET quality, compliance and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate.
This Includes
* Relevant vocational competency and/or qualifications in Community Services, together with recent and current industry experience in the discipline area.
* Applicants must also hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116), or
* A Diploma or higher qualification in Adult Education or Vocational Education and Training
Applicants who hold secondary teaching qualifications with relevant VET skill sets are also encouraged to apply.

Appointment to this position is subject to the successful completion of all mandatory employment checks.
You Must Hold, Or Be Eligible To Obtain
* A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
* A National Police Check
