**Macro Space Planner

**About the Role**
Working within the Merchandising & Customer Value (MCV) team, the Macro Space Planner role is responsible for the development of space-efficient and effective floor plans via both the current/renewal program and project-based activities across the supermarket network.

As a part of this team, you will be required to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g micro space, category planning, commercial team, store format, operations, supply chain team) to ensure the best macro space outcomes are achieved for our stores and customers.

You will understand how customers shop and how to manage floorplan space accordingly utilising customer data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop optimised, customer-centric, commercially and operationally efficient floor plans via sophisticated space models for all new store, refurbishment and commercial project delivery.
- Work closely with key stakeholders - Micro Space, Format Development, and Commercial Teams to ensure the best space outcomes are achieved for the business
- Maximise the return on space for all store on new and renewal stores
- Support Renewal/Refit Co-ordinators in addressing space queries during renewal activity
- Ensure all relevant market, space and customer insights are integrated into floor plans.
- Support ad hoc business projects to deliver value and benefit
- Support in reviewing store space queries
- Use data and the tools provided to make informed space decisions

- Demonstrated experience in a retail (stores) or FMCG environment, ideally in a space & range planning/ merchandising role
- Ability to learn new concepts and strategies quickly to achieve the best result
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, numeracy and written skills.
- The ability to communicate clearly and influence effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
