Overview
Airnorth is recruiting for a Perth based Licenced Avionics (B2) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our WA Engineering Team in troubleshooting, conducting routine and non-routine maintenance, and performing repairs on various aircraft systems and components in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers hold responsibility for performing and certifying for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft as directed. Licenced AMEs are also required to supervise and certify for aircraft work carried out by unlicensed AMEs and apprentices who are assigned to work under their supervision.
Perth Airnorth Engineers are currently employed under an 11-hour shift over a 7 day on, 7 day off roster. Aircraft Maintenance work is predominantly completed on the ramp or in other outdoor environments. Travel to other locations may be required, at short notice for AOG situations. Type training is on offer (if required).
Responsibilities
* Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
* Supervise and certify work carried out by unlicensed AMEs and apprentices under supervision.
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various aircraft systems and components.
* Operate in outdoor environments including ramp areas; travel to other locations as required (AOG situations).
* Adhere to shift roster and contribute to a safe, efficient maintenance team.
Essential and Desirable Requirements
* CASA licence (type is not necessarily required).
* Strong understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations applicable to Certificates of Approvals.
* Time management, ability to work under pressure, and high attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; proactive team contribution.
* Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC and an Airside Driver's Licence; Human Factors training and current passport are essential.
* Solid experience in aircraft maintenance; experience on Embraer and/or at Perth Airport is desirable.
