Site Mechanic Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Mechanic to join our team at the Cotton Research Unit based at Myall Vale, near Narrabri. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development of elite cotton varieties and improve crop management in the Australian cotton industry.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that plant and machinery is functioning properly when needed, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing improvements if necessary. They will also contribute to the overall research program by assisting with field operations both at Myall Vale and other field sites as required.
* Maintain, manage and repair plant and equipment, including troubleshooting breakdowns.
* Develop, implement and record structured maintenance schedules for plant and equipment.
* Collaborate with other internal Research Units to document maintenance systems and processes as required.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
* Experience in mechanical maintenance of agricultural machinery, or equivalent, including troubleshooting breakdowns.
* Proven ability to implement and record structured maintenance schedules for plant and equipment.
* Demonstrated understanding and strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
