McPherson Media Group (MMG), the publisher of Shepparton News, is looking for a skilled and versatile multimedia journalist to support our partnership with a high-profile local institution. We are looking for a multimedia professional to collaborate with their marketing and communications team to create innovative and original content and engage with a large audience of internal and external stakeholders.
The right candidate should have experience in media, communications or a similar field, and would ideally have worked in journalism, special publications or social media management in the past, with experience in video creation and editing.
The responsibilities of the role include:
* sourcing, writing and editing specialised content for print and online.
* uncovering exciting profiles and stories relating to our partner's activities
* delivering required comms in a clear and engaging manner both internally and to the general public through various networks, outlets and social media
Reporting to MMG's Director, Content and Audience, you will be able to count on guidance and help in the development and planning of content, as well as the full support of MMG resources (photographers, sub-editors, etc).
McPherson Media Group is a large, independent media company encompassing regional newspapers, a variety of magazines, niche agricultural publications, regional event management and custom content production/publishing.
