About our school

St Michael's College is a co‑educational Catholic College welcoming secondary students from Years 7 to 12. Situated high on the hill at Merrimac, the school enjoys coastal breezes and expansive views of the beautiful coastline. At St Michael's College, we focus on building a culture of Belonging, Care, and Connection, going the extra mile to ensure everyone in our community feels they belong, are cared for, and feel connected.

Our strong pastoral program is supported by the College Charism, built on the pillars of Respect, Courage, Justice, Protection, Integrity, and Dedication. Our dedicated teachers, support staff, and leadership team all contribute to the overall success of our students and College. They are well‑trained in contemporary and innovative classroom pedagogy to ensure we deliver a student‑centred, engaging curriculum. Recognised on the Gold Coast for our achievements in academic, cultural, sporting, and vocational fields, we strive to support our students holistically, educating head, heart, body, and spirit.

Our Catholic Christian faith is grounded in the charisms of the Christian Brothers (Edmund Rice) and the Sisters of Mercy (Catherine McAuley), underpinning the values and actions of staff and students. We actively support our students' growth through our approach to Pastoral Care and focused well‑being programs. Additionally, we offer many opportunities for staff to be involved in extracurricular activities through camps, retreats, sports, and clubs.
