About the role
We are seeking a values-driven Supervisor who will facilitate the complete processing of incoming donations and new retail stock, in preparation for our Family Stores. Co-ordinate, with the Logistics Supervisor and Store Managers, the appropriate movement of this stock.
Provide excellent customer service and efficiency in operations and support the achievement of The Salvation Army (TSA) mission.
You will successfully
- Facilitate back-of-store operations and the movement of stock to customers, between stores and to warehouse for storage. This may include the taking of calls, goods pickup and delivery schedules for each of the Family Stores in the local area.
- In conjunction with the Logistics Supervisor and Store Managers, identify items that will maximise sales and co-ordinate movement of that stock to the identified store.
- Ensure goods are cleaned, priced and prepared for sale.
- Donors and customers are greeted and thanked kindly for their donations at drop off point and assisted with bringing donations from their car to the drop off point.
- Supervise volunteers in a courteous environment that fosters a productive experience for customers and staff and contributes to the overall team effectiveness.
You will have
- Understanding of the value of second-hand goods with a wide knowledge on brands and goods.
- Certificate in Logistics or Business or a related field is desirable.
- Experience in retail and/or customer service environment with some supervisory experience is preferred.
- Current QLD Driver's licence
- This position will require the physical ability to safely stand, sit and walk regularly, and for long periods of time. The role will be required to frequently push, pull, lift, carry and restrain stock, climb ladders and stairs. Such work will be undertaken in line with WHS policies and procedures.
This is a full-time, permanent position located in Caloundra, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 4.
