Human Resources Coordinator (Part Time) | InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto

As Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administration support to facilitate colleague recruitment, onboarding, engagement, occupational health, and safety training requirements and maintain accurate payroll systems within the hotel.

As part of the HR team, your key responsibilities will include supervising systems and process compliance, documentation, data entry and email correspondence to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations and to support the needs of Hotel Colleagues.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

* Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
* Provide end-to-end recruitment administration including approvals, contract preparation, onboarding documentation, and candidate management through the onboarding system.
* Support payroll processes by setting up new employees in the payroll system and coordinating employee lifecycle data and reporting.
* Act as the first point of contact for employee and manager enquiries regarding HR policies, recruitment, benefits, and people processes.
* Prepare and deliver new colleague orientations and support engagement initiatives such as surveys, town halls, and colleague communications.
* Monitor compliance requirements including immigration checks, system access requests, and HR file audits in line with Fair Work and company standards.
* Provide administrative support to the HR leadership team on industrial relations matters, reporting, and HR projects.
* Contribute to a positive workplace culture by supporting colleague engagement activities, internal communications, and other HR initiatives.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

* A degree in Human Resources or a related field, or relevant work experience in Human Resources / Administration is desirable.
* Excellent administrational skills, computer skills with various software including Microsoft suite.
* Well presented & self-motivated with good interpersonal skills • Good communication, spoken and written, with attention to detail
