About the Role
Based at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill, Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the school's built assets and utility infrastructure.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this is a hands-on, varied role leading the Maintenance Team and managing contractors to deliver both preventative and reactive maintenance. You will also support the setup and delivery of school events while providing expert advice across building, construction, and asset management.
This role is ideal for an experienced trade or construction professional looking to take the next step in their career.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading the Maintenance Team and coordinating external contractors
* Overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance programs
* Providing trade expertise and facilities advice to the wider team
* Supporting school operations including setups for activities and events
* Managing building, construction, and small-scale projects
* Ensuring compliance with WHS, risk, and sustainability standards
What We're Looking For
* Trade or tertiary qualifications in building or construction (essential)
* 3–5 years' experience in building or construction, with site foreman or leadership exposure
* Demonstrated experience managing contractors and maintenance programs
* Strong project management and problem-solving skills
* Excellent time management and ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
* Collaborative, solutions-focused approach with outstanding communication skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
