Vestas has an exciting position at Kennedy Wind Farm for a full-time and long-term Electrical Service Technician.
* Monday to Friday with occasional weekends
* $52.50 per hour + Allowance + Superannuation + Bonus

About the Role
This role is for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic electrical technician to work in our service team. The successful applicant must hold a recognised Australian trade certificate.
The department operates in a small team environment based on site at Wambo Wind Farm. Technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of wind turbines in accordance with the contract. Support is provided by an administrator and a planner, with KPIs set by the Area Service Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance as required
2. Respond to site outside normal hours for reactive maintenance on a rostered basis
3. Maintain all company vehicles and equipment in good condition
4. Perform operations and maintenance within training and authorization limits, including HV and LV operation
5. Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and adherence to work methods
6. Complete site induction
7. Fulfill requirements of the Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA)
8. Comply with OH&S legislation and demonstrate commitment to accident prevention
9. Follow all work instructions, procedures, safety codes, and regulations
10. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
11. Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks as required
12. Perform other duties within your competence and qualifications as directed
Qualifications
* A-Grade Electrical License
* Full driver's license
Competencies
* Literate with PC and modern technologies supporting daily work
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for fault-finding and maintenance
* Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems (preferred)
* Motivated to learn new skills in a growing industry
* Understanding safety principles and committed to safety compliance
* Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in various environments
* Proficient with hand tools
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small team
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
