Mechanical Engineer - (Mackay - Queensland) page is loaded## Mechanical Engineer - (Mackay - Queensland)locations: 130 - Mackay Epsa Workshoptime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdaytime left to apply: End Date: March 12, 2026 (27 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR100103**About EPSA:**We are a global family-owned business with over 60 years in the mining, civil and earth moving industry operating in several countries throughout the world.We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team.Position: **Mechanical Engineer.**This is an opportunity for an experienced **Mechanical Engineer** to join us working in our **Mackay Workshop** in **Queensland.**EPSA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be**permanently employed** by the company on a full-time basis.The role will be on a lifestyle friendly **38-hour roster** between **Monday to Friday** with flexible working arrangements at our Mackay Workshop in Queensland.**About the role:*** Coordinate task planning with Operations Leadership to ensure technical accuracy* Serve as the technical point of contact for operations teams* Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams* Manage vendor communications for technical issue resolution.* Provide technical guidance on process, mechanical, and structural tasks* Conduct site inspections and support offsite capital projects* Update drawings with site changes for design revisions* Assist with material and equipment procurement while ensuring compliance* Oversee regulatory compliance, including classified plant obligations.* Ensure safe planning and completion of all activities**To be successful you will have:*** Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.* Minimum 3-5 experience in engineering role.* Mining project experience including materials handling and process plants.* Understanding of hydraulic calculations and pumping systems (water as minimum and slurry preferred).* Proficiency in interpreting process documentation including P&ID's, PFD's and Process Design Criteria.* Ability to understand mechanical documentation, such as design drawings, equipment datasheets, and vendor IOMs.* High computer literacy (operating systems, Office products, engineering tools).* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.* Be willing to complete along with a Pre-Employment Medical.**What we are offering:*** Attractive salary + Super + above award leave entitlements.* Salary sacrifice options including novated lease.* Private Health Insurance after 6 months continuous employment.* Career progression within Australia and globally.* Inclusive and dynamic team focused work environment.* Family-owned business with over 60 years in the industry.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
