The Opportunity
Reporting to the Mentally Healthy Workplaces Australia (MHWA) Board and Monash University's designated MHWA Board Member, the Associate Professor / Professor (Practice) and Executive Director will co-lead the establishment and delivery of MHWA's national workplace mental health and wellbeing initiatives. The role focuses on providing visionary leadership, translating evidence into practice, and fostering collaboration across government, industry and academia to influence policy and create mentally healthy, high-performing workplaces.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
Leading the strategic launch and scale-up of MHWA as a national centre of excellence.
Driving integrated workstreams in leadership, workplace systems design, and worker wellbeing.
Overseeing governance, risk, compliance and financial management of significant budgets.
Building strategic partnerships and securing funding to advance MHWA's mission.
Representing MHWA nationally and internationally as its public spokesperson.

About You
A relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive executive-level leadership experience in complex organisations.
Recognition as a leading authority in workplace mental health and wellbeing, with a compelling vision for its future development.
A proven track record of securing funding and delivering large-scale initiatives.
Strong strategic, analytical and operational skills, including governance, financial management and risk oversight.
Exceptional relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across government, industry and academia.
You are a visionary leader with the expertise, influence and drive to deliver impact at scale.
