We have a current vacancy for a safety‑focused Qualified Plumber to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside a crew of like‑minded tradespeople to deliver maintenance onsite.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Setting out and installing hot and cold‑water systems and associated equipment
* Undertaking storm water and sewer installations
* 'Rough‑in' water and gas services
* Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required
* Designing and installing sanitary plumbing and water supply systems, discharge pipes and sanitary fixtures
* Assembling and installing mechanical services plant, air‑handling and conditioning equipment, and small‑bore heating systems
* Installing sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems
* Installing below‑ground drainage systems and associated ground support systems
* Installing gas appliances, flues and pressure‑regulating devices
* Fabricating and installing metal roofing, rainwater goods and flashings
* Penetration and inground service installations
* Final 'Fit‑off' and finishing installations with high‑quality work
* Following standard operating procedures, safety procedures and quality‑control methods
* Ability to read and interpret plans/drawings
Skills & Experiences
* Trade qualified or 4th‑year apprentice
* Sound knowledge of all tasks and activities related to new installations and the Plumbing Code and Australian standards
* Gas fitting licence (preferred but not essential)
* Strong experience in maintenance plumbing or similar role highly regarded
* Self‑motivated, problem‑solver and team player
* Punctual, reliable, well‑organised, tidy and efficient
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Basic computer literacy
* Right to work in Australia (38 hours/week)
* Connection to Q Fever vaccination or willingness to participate
