The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Workplace Relations Advisors to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide specialist ER/IR and HR advice to employees or leaders, with a knowledge of employment-related legislation encompassing the entire employment lifecycle
- Assist in the timely resolution of workplace relations issues of varying complexity
- Effectively coordinate and deliver on a range of complex projects and workforce relation issues, consulting with stakeholders on appropriate risk and implementation strategies
- Solve complex problems, interpret and analyse issues from various perspectives and exercise sound, independent judgement to assist in the resolution of workplace relations matters of varyingcomplexity
- Manage matters which escalate to external advocacy and forums (i.e. Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Public Service Commission)
About you
- Experience in providing ER/IR and HR advice to employees or leaders, with a knowledge of employment-related legislation encompassing the entire employment lifecycle
- Good time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise as necessary
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate complex HR/IR matters in a persuasive and practical manner
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changes priorities as required
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or Industrial Relations - highly desirable.
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- An appropriate Licence and the ability operate a government vehicle

Salary
- Permanent full time (two positions)
- Base salary ranging from $94 759 - $103 102 per annum

The Human Resource Services (HRS) Team operates across a major, complex tertiary service based at Carrara. HRS provides advice, support and resources to the Health Service workforce in relation to a broad range of human resource functions.
Workplace Relations collaborates with HR Business Partners, WHS team and managers to provide expert advice and guidance to resolve workplace relations issues.
