Health Icons is an Australian CDMO specialising in nutraceuticals and sports nutrition. Our new Gold Coast facility combines automated gummy and capsule manufacturing with rigorous quality systems. We’re seeking a QC Technician to support day-to-day QC testing, and laboratory activities.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, this role shall be responsible for ensuring products meet the necessary specifications for safety and quality. This individual will be responsible for performing inspections, conducting tests and audits, and documenting findings in accordance with industry standards including but not limited to the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met and to improve overall production processes.
* Oversee quality control throughout the production lifecycle – from raw material intake to finished product
* Conduct in-process and finished product testing including texture, pH, moisture, and active ingredient validation
* Maintain and implement QA systems aligned with HACCP, FSANZ and GMP standards
* Review and verify batch records, retention samples, and customer release documentation
* Support trouble-shooting of formulation issues, working closely with R&D and the production team
* Play a hands-on role in audits, internal training, and lab process documentation
About You
* Preferred - degree or diploma in Food Science/Technology, Chemistry, Nutrition, Chemical/Process Engineering or related i.e. Cert III/IV in Food Processing.
* Previous experience in fast paced automated production lines, mixing and capsules will be a bonus
* Hands-on, detail orientated and comfortable working across labs, mixing room and production floor
* Understands (or willing to learn) FSANZ labelling basics, HACCP and GP expectations
* Physically capable for manufacturing tasks, willing to work early/late shifts when required
