Job Description
As a Childcare Assistant, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care.
Working under the direction of Group Leaders and Early Childhood Teachers, you'll support the learning, well-being, and development of children aged 8 weeks to 5 years.
You will:
Create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Assist with daily routines, play-based learning, and documentation of children's development
Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues that foster belonging and respect
Uphold high standards of health, hygiene, and safety, ensuring all children are cared for and supervised
Support children's emotional, social, and physical well-being through positive, respectful, and consistent care
Contribute to continuous improvement, quality outcomes, and compliance with the National Quality Standard and Council policies
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You're passionate about early childhood education and take pride in creating joyful learning experiences.
You bring warmth, energy, and professionalism to every interaction and thrive as part of a collaborative team.
You'll also have:
A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be actively working towards one
Prior experience supporting young children in a childcare or early education setting
A genuine commitment to children's safety, well-being, and inclusion
Strong communication skills and the ability to work positively with families and colleagues
Current Working with Children Check and Childcare First Aid (HLTAID012)
Evidence of required immunisations (Whooping Cough, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A & B, Influenza)
