Business analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our growing Technology and Development team on a 12‐month fixed term basis. The role is based in the iconic Bryant & May Building in Cremorne, Melbourne with flexible working arrangements of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

• Gather business requirements and write functional specifications for developments and system enhancements.
• Consult with relevant business parts to ensure solutions meet commercial objectives.
• Deliver major business solutions, including application testing and implementation.
• Use SQL for independent data collection and analysis.
• Work in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Collaborate using Google Workspace, Atlassian products such as Confluence and JIRA.

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the retail energy sector.
• Proven ability to deliver major business solutions, including application testing and implementation.
• Highly developed stakeholder management skills and proven resilience.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in process design.
• Experience delivering business solutions using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for independent data collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with collaborative tools, including Google Workspace and Atlassian products.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Capacity to read between the lines, consider commercial objectives and make decisions beneficial to the business.
