**Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre (WIRAC) **is the community’s one-stop destination for family fitness, sports activities and quality swimming education! We capture the community spirit of Warwick by offering supportive, welcoming and fun programs for infants, children, teens, adults and seniors.
The Y is now seeking a **Swimming Lessons Teacher **to join their dynamic and enthusiastic team on a **casual **basis located in **Warwick, QLD.**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The role of a **Swimming Lessons Teacher** is responsible for teaching our youth to swim in a safe and friendly environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Structure and design classes with appropriate activities that enhance student interaction and collaboration
- Initiate and nurture group interaction and involvement of all participants in the class
- Use respectful, positive language and encouragement
- Actively work within a team setting to ensure safe, timely and effective set up, class delivery and pack up
- Ensure appropriate attendance and competency records are completed, collated and submitted for archiving
- Comply with all legislative and organisational requirements
**ABOUT YOU**
- Hold an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety accreditation
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with a welcoming, friendly and approachable manner
- Current certification for First Aid and CPR, or the willingness to obtain them
- Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one
