We are looking for a Service Support Technician to join our team at Newman Operations. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and operates on an 8/6:7/7 rotating days and nights FIFO roster from Perth. You will provide high-level servicing, repairs and general maintenance support to a fleet of autonomous trucks, graders and dozers, including routine fuel and lubrication top ups on Surface Mobile Equipment (SME), and lubrication on fixed plant equipment within maintenance workshops. You will operate Light Vehicle (LV) class and SME service trucks.
Responsibilities
Oil change out and sampling
Checking and filling lubricant and hydraulic tanks
Stock monitoring
Filter change out and lubrication system maintenance
Breather maintenance and replacement
Lubrication system top-up and maintenance and oil analysis
Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation and reports
Use of computerized maintenance systems (SAP / FIORI) including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
Identify, report and rectify hazards
Complete quality task-based risk assessments
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Qualifications
Technically minded and hands-on approach
Mining or heavy industrial/manufacturing experience is advantageous
Experience with lubrication inspections, oil changes, sampling, greasing and lubrication of equipment
Basic Lubrication Course desirable; CAT SOS experience preferred
Forklift Licence / Elevated Work Platform (EWP) an advantage (can be provided)
HR licence desirable
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Previous open cut mine driving experience desirable
Hold all relevant licenses applicable to your skillset and a valid full C class driver's licence
Location
The role is based at Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara, on a rotating 8/6 7/7 roster, with fly-in/fly-out from Perth. Sites include South Flank, Yandi, Jimblebar and Newman.
