Southern Steel Supplies, part of the Southern Steel Group, is a leading player in the steel industry, delivering comprehensive steel distribution services across NSW.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead our Tamworth team. Reporting directly to the NSW Regional Manager (also based in Tamworth), you will be responsible for overseeing the branch's daily operations, achieving sales targets, and expanding business opportunities.
This role is perfect for an energetic leader with a passion for driving results and inspiring a team. You will build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike, while creating a positive and high-performing work environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of sales and operational staff.
* Develop and execute strategies to retain existing customers and attract new business.
* Oversee sales and marketing initiatives to grow the branch's presence in the market.
* Manage branch financial performance, including P&L accountability.
* Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant warehousing and operational practices.

To be successful, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience in a management role within a distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
* Knowledge of the steel industry, products, processing, and customers (preferred).
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team while driving performance.
* Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.
* Well-developed selling & negotiation abilities.
