The Role
The Inventory Controller ensures warehouse inventory is accurate, up to date, and efficiently managed. From regular physical counts and stocktakes to maintaining precise software systems records for stock movements and adjustments, to working with a broad range of stakeholders. The Inventory Controller undertakes critical day to day duties as well as continuous improvement projects to ensure the warehouse and broader manufacturing operations run effectively. Your previous experience implementing warehousing software systems analysis and improvement initiatives, your courteous, collaborative and calm approach to working with others and, your ability to undertake the inventory controller core duties in a similar manufacturing environment will set you up for success in this key position.
Key Responsibilities
* Regularly counts inventory and undertakes systems and physical comparisons (cycle counts and stocktakes)
* Updates and manages records for stock transfers, consolidations, and movements within the warehouse and movements in/out including damaged or obsolete stock
* Handles customer returns and processes credits at the warehouse level
* Manages stock that belongs to vendors (consignment stock) and coordinates transfers to other locations
* Identifies and undertakes warehousing systems continuous improvement projects
Key Requirements
* Ability to work full-time on-site, 8am-4:16pm, Monday to Friday (no hybrid/remote work is available for this position)
* Experience in inventory control within a similar environment and role
* Strong SAP and excellent MS Excel skills (other inventory software a plus)
* High attention to detail, quality orientation, and strong organisational skills
* Demonstrated previous experience undertaking all key role responsibilities as above
* Must be able to demonstrate unlimited Australian working rights, pass a satisfactory police check and undertake a satisfactory pre-employment medical
