Key Responsibilities
The Senior Commercial Analyst is responsible for compiling and analysing data to generate actionable insights, identifying growth and optimisation opportunities, and developing practical solutions that enhance pricing strategies, improve margins, and maximise revenue and profitability across the business.
* Lead and support the management of an existing suite of contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Take ownership of a defined portfolio of contracts while contributing to adjacent or complementary projects where required.
* Manage and support interactions with customers and major suppliers to resolve contractual matters and meet commercial requirements.
* Assist in the implementation of new contractual arrangements to support existing operational assets.
* Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all sales contract documentation, project deeds and major supplier agreements.
* Support the development and improvement of processes and systems to ensure compliance with relevant market regulations and settlements.
* Ensure compliance with applicable licences and statutory obligations.
* Partner with the Australian business development team to deliver growth opportunities while effectively managing commercial risks, including supporting or leading commercial negotiations.
* Provide commercial guidance to project delivery, finance and operations teams, ensuring clear understanding of contractual obligations.
* Collaborate with analysts to deliver financial and operational insights, identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
* Identify and implement initiatives to maximise value from existing contracts and ensure ongoing compliance with agreement requirements.
* Contribute to broader operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Skills & Experience
* Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.
* Proven ability to lead cross‐functional teams to achieve commercial outcomes.
* Strong analytical capability, including technical analysis.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage complex commercial contracts.
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality.
* Demonstrated initiative and proactive problem‐solving skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Collaborative and team‐oriented approach.
* Project management experience desirable.
* Training and/or experience in contract law principles.
* Minimum two years' experience in a commercial role desirable.
