About the Role- Export Operator
Export Operator will be reporting to the Export Team Leader. Your new role includes:
* Receive sea freight bookings, register orders in EDOC and arrange shipments of LCL
* Take booking requests ensuring bookings are made at current and profitable rates
* Keep all stakeholders (internal/external) abreast of bookings and shipment status
* Follow up suppliers with regards to payments of invoices
* Providing customer advice on all aspects of shipping goods overseas including packing dimensions, weights and the export procedures in accordance with company operation procedures
* Identify optimal solutions for customer and shipment problems and issues that arise
* Identify opportunities for process improvement efficiencies that will contribute to increased productivity
* Take accountability for your role – expectations, goal setting, workload commitments, seeking and providing feedback and development, sharing your knowledge with others.
* Share positive customer experiences with the team
* Take action to drive healthy and safe work practices throughout the business
The successful applicant should demonstrate;
* 2-3 Years experience within the industry
* Export Operator experience
