Aged Care Services Operations Coordinator – Gapuwiyak, NT

East Arnhem Regional Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Aged Care Services Operations Coordinator to deliver safe, high-quality, person‐centred care that enables clients to live safely and independently in their communities, maintaining connection to country and family. What you'll do
- Coordinate day‐to‐day operations of the Aged Care Services team to ensure effective and efficient management of staff and resources.
- Lead, mentor, train, and coach support staff to promote teamwork, positive attitudes, consistency, safety, and high‐quality care.
- Manage recruitment and local recruitment processes, and oversee operational functions including performance management, rostering, general administration, and other service‐support duties.
- Review and monitor individual care plans, budgets, resources, supports, and assessments to deliver person‐centred services, including direct care when required.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with legislative, funding, and quality standards.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, families, carers, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
- Promote safe work practices aligned with WHS, risk management, SIRS, and complaints processes.
What you'll bring
Essential
- Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing and/or Disability), or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of employment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Aged Care Legislation, program guidelines and person‐centred care management principles.
- Experience using aged care electronic platforms and relative Government portals.
- Excellent organisational, communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands, and adapt to change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Current C Class Driver Licence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain NDIS Worker Screening and WWCC.
Desirable
- Additional related qualifications.
- Food safety training.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Experience working in remote First Nations communities.
- High level of cross‐cultural capability and awareness of issues affecting First Nations people.
