Boilermakers – Hunter Class Frigate Program
Permanent long-term career opportunity on a major naval defence program. Night shift available. 9-day fortnight. Non-citizens eligible to apply – must hold Australian work rights. Located in Osborne, Queensland, Australia at BAE Systems Australia.
About the role:
Undertake tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision or a Trades Trainer within current competence.
Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training.
Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area.
Adhere to BAE Maritime Australia policies and management practices.
About You:
Trade qualifications.
Experience with MIG or Flux Core welding fabrication.
Ability to read drawings.
Strong safety focus and ability to enhance the site safety environment.
Strong time-keeping abilities.
Excellent communication.
Clearances:
Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identity Card (NSSIC) required. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible for NSSIC and ITAR clearances.
Defence security clearance required. Applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
