We deliver complex, high-impact transmission projects across the beautiful state of Tasmania and are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Integration Leader to join our growing team.
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Integration Leader with a strong background in managing the design process for both primary and secondary substations, as well as high-voltage transmission lines. This is a pivotal role requiring not only technical knowledge but also leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors throughout the design and construction phases of major transmission projects.
This role will see you –
* Develop and maintain the technical and quality frameworks for major transmission projects, ensuring clearly defined and achievable project goals
* Lead a team of multidisciplinary engineering professionals to deliver project outcomes in collaboration with key stakeholders
* Oversee external contractors in the delivery of engineering packages, acting as the key interface between project delivery and the business-as-usual engineering function.
* Ensure engineering outcomes and deliverables align with TasNetworks’ minimum engineering requirements, as well as broader project schedule, cost, and quality targets.
* Support core project management functions and effectively balance competing priorities across internal and external stakeholders.
* Plan and manage all engineering deliverables across the full project lifecycle—including design, construction, commissioning, and close-out—for both transmission lines and substations
About You
First and foremost; you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field, combined with extensive experience in delivering engineering outcomes, including project scoping, specification development and managing design development process.
If you want to be part of landmark infrastructure projects that power communities and support a sustainable future, you will demonstrate proven capability and experience in the following areas –
* Proven experience in leading the design and delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects, particularly involving transmission lines and primary/secondary substations
* Demonstrated ability to manage contractors during both design and construction phases
* Strong leadership and team development skills across engineering disciplines
