THE ROLE
The Victorian Government's priority focus on disability is delivered through the Disability Reform and Complex Needs branch in the Disability, Complex Needs and Emergency Management division of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
Reporting to the Executive Director, Disability Reform and Complex Needs, this role will be responsible for providing high-level strategic leadership on national reform arising from the NDIS Review and the Disability Royal Commission, Victorian Government engagement with the Commonwealth on disability matters, NDIS policy and oversight and monitoring of services transferred to the non-government sector.
The role will lead engagement with people with disability and stakeholders relating to national disability reform, and will provide authoritative, strategic, and innovative policy advice to the Executive Director, Deputy Secretary, the Minister, and the Executive Leadership Team
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
* Lead the whole of Victorian Government response to the NDIS Review and the Disability Royal Commission, including policy development, budget development, program design and implementation.
* Lead intergovernmental engagement with the Commonwealth, States and Territories on NDIS and disability reform.
* Lead the oversight and monitoring of services transferred to the non-government sector. This includes performance monitoring, contract management and quality and safeguards, as well as the relationship management with the NDIA and Commonwealth.
