Deckhand – 125ft Motor Yacht | Gold Coast Based
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and dedicated Deckhand to join a professionally operated 125ft private motor yacht based on the Gold Coast. We are seeking a committed individual who is looking for a long-term position and takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards onboard.
This role is ideally suited to a motivated marine professional with either previous yachting experience or extensive time spent on the water as a competent and confident boater.
About the Role
As Deckhand, you will play a key role in the daily operation, presentation, and maintenance of the vessel. You will be responsible for ensuring the yacht is maintained to the highest standard at all times, both cosmetically and operationally.
The vessel operates primarily from its home port on the Gold Coast and undertakes extended cruising along Australia's eastern seaboard, with potential travel into the Pacific region. During voyage periods, you will be required to live onboard. When the yacht returns to its home port, you will be expected to arrange your own accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
· Daily washdowns, polishing, and detailing of the vessel
· Assisting with docking, anchoring, and line handling
· General deck maintenance and upkeep
· Operation of tenders and watercraft
· Supporting guest activities including fishing and water sports
Mandatory Requirements
· Valid STCW 95 certification
· Demonstrated boating or yachting experience
· Tender driving licence
· Jet ski licence
· Full Australian working rights required for this position
Highly Regarded
· Fishing experience
· Diving certification
· Experience in polishing and vessel detailing
· Strong mechanical aptitude or general maintenance knowledge
· Previous experience on motor yachts of similar size
