 
        
        This is a short term (3 month), full time role within the Koala Operations Unit the role will be involved in mainly field-based work ranging from managing koala habitat restoration works to koala browse collection and plantation management

This 003 Wildlife Officer role is within the Koala Operations Unit based out of Moggill. The primary duties of the role will be vegetation management on koala habitat projects, collection of high-quality koala browse for animals undergoing rehabilitation, and managing koala fodder plantations. The role is full time for a period of just over three months.

- Has experience in vegetation management, native revegetation, horticulture or related fields. 
- Experience with the protected operation of hand-held power tools such as brush cutters, and chainsaws 
- Experience in the safe operation of plant such as zero turn mowers, light and medium sized tractor/slasher setups. 
- Experience with koala leaf collection.
Mandatory Qualifications 
Unrestricted manual drivers licence.
