Customer Banking Specialist Role Overview
We are seeking a Customer Banking Specialist to join our team in Broome on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
The role involves providing exceptional customer service, working with customers to understand their financial needs, and identifying opportunities to provide holistic solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building personal connections with customers through meaningful conversations
* Working with customers to help them use in-branch technology and digital banking options
* Assisting customers with transactional needs, ensuring they leave satisfied
* Completing Financial Health Checks to assess customers' financial situations
* Processing applications for personal loans and credit cards
* Proactively engaging with customers to build rapport and invite them into the branch for a Financial Health Check or appointment with a specialist
* Adhering to established processes and procedures, including accurately reconciling transactions and reviewing customers' financial positions
* Participating in community events and fundraising activities
* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of colleagues
Requirements and Qualifications

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work effectively in a busy retail environment
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues
* Knowledge of personal and business banking products and services
* Ability to identify and respond to customers' needs, providing tailored solutions
