An exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer working on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Your new company
An established engineering and professional services organisation based in Townsville is seeking a motivated Administration Officer to join its team. You will be part of a supportive workplace that values professionalism, teamwork, and high‐quality service delivery.

Your new role
As the Administration Officer, you will play a key role in supporting day‐to‐day business operations and ensuring a professional and efficient office environment. This role is a permanent part‐time position, working three days per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Key Responsibilities:

* Act as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, providing professional and welcoming front‐of‐house service.
* Manage incoming office phone calls and emails.
* Coordinate team calendars, appointments, and client bookings.
* Assist with bookkeeping functions including invoicing, payments, and related financial tasks.
* Maintain business systems, filing processes, and accurate data entry.
* Manage general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining tidy work areas, stocking the kitchen, and collecting mail.
* Assist in preparing reports, tender submissions, marketing materials, meeting minutes, agendas, and other documentation.
* Maintain accurate and thorough records of all tasks and activities.
* Follow directions from the Business Operations Manager and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* A current driver's licence
* Strong communication, literacy, and interpersonal skills
* Confidence using MS Office and general computer systems
* The ability to produce clear, high‐quality written records
* A collaborative and professional approach with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
* The ability to work autonomously while also following direction
* Strong time‐management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
* A commitment to maintaining high standards and taking pride in your work
