Parts Coordinator


Vysarn Limited is a vertically integrated whole of life water and environmental services provider. The Vysarn group of companies and services has now grown to seven operating entities including Pentium Hydro and Pentium Test Pumping.

Pentium Hydro are a dedicated hydrogeological drilling and dewatering business with long-term contract with Tier 1 mining companies.

Pentium Test Pumping is dedicated to the Australian groundwater industry and strives to provide robust, valid, and statistically meaningful groundwater data by providing clients with tailor-made test pumping solutions.

About the role

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for the accurate identification, sourcing, and supply of parts and materials required for maintenance and operational activities.

This role ensures the maintenance parts and drilling equipment are readily available to support site operations, collaborating closely with maintenance, procurement, and Drilling Operations.

The Parts Interpreter maintains inventory records, coordinates logistics, and provides technical support to internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in inventory management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Occupational Health & Safety

* Take reasonable care for personal and team health and safety.
* Present for work in a fit and proper condition.
* Report hazards and participate in safety training and induction.
* Use machinery and equipment only if competent and qualified.
* Maintain a safe system of work and complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), as required.

Inventory & Parts Management

* Accurately identify, source, and supply parts and materials for maintenance and operational needs.
* Manage inventory levels and generate stock reports.
* Coordinate the inflow and outflow of inventory, including shipment and storage activities.
* Maintain database records of all transactions and ensure safe stock levels.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to resolve inventory-related issues.
* Use system tools (e.g., NetSuite) to analyse inventory settings and optimize inventory strategy.
* Process additions to inventory and review return-to-stock requests.

Operational Support

* Collaborate with maintenance, scheduling, and supply chain teams to ensure timely supply of parts.
* Support procurement and sourcing of parts, working closely with field teams.
* Respond urgently to breakdowns, assisting with the identification and supply of required parts.
* Assist with commissioning and shutdown activities by ensuring parts availability.
* Participate in meetings to resolve service impacts and maintain MRP processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

* Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
* Provide technical support and advice regarding parts and inventory.
* Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of parts.
* Report regularly on inventory activities, issues, and improvements to relevant stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

* Drive continuous improvement in inventory management processes.
* Analyse scheduling and supply chain performance to identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.
* Support the development of operational strategies and guidelines for inventory management.
* Participate in improvement projects designed to automate and optimize inventory processes.

About you, your skills and experience

* Experience in inventory, warehousing, or parts interpretation within mining, heavy industry, or similar environments.
* Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and CMMS systems.
* Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Experience in vendor and contractor management.
* Knowledge of Foremost / Schramm Drilling Rigs.
* Knowledge of MAN / Mercedes Trucks.
* Knowledge of Altas Copco / Sullair Compressors.
* Knowledge of material management, logistics, and supply chain processes.

Desirable

* 3+ years' experience in a similar position.
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in inventory management or supply chain.
* Experience in mining, heavy industry, or large-scale operations.

Work Ready Requirements:

* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and ongoing assessments to meet the requirements of the role.
* Working at heights.
* Able and willing to work 12-hour shifts, including overtime and weekend, as required.
* Exposure to dust and heat working environments (managed according to safety protocols).
* Valid manual Australian driver's license (HR/MC/HC/C Class minimum).
* Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
* Drug and alcohol testing, as required.
