Project Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the design and delivery of manufacturing projects.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechatronics, Automotive or Robotics Engineering and 5+ years of experience leading a manufacturing project life cycle from inception to market deployment.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Implement frameworks to improve the design and assembly process for mechanical and electronic equipment builds.
* Be the key contact interface between engineering design, management, production, vendors, suppliers and the customer.
* Review and help improve engineering design.
* Deal with suppliers and vendors for component selection.
* Lead the project delivery from inception, feasibility, design and development, testing and market deployment.
* Optimise the existing project engineering delivery process by implementing lean manufacturing methodologies.
* Prepare costings, take-offs, schedules, BOM's, technical documentations and reports for manufacturing builds.
* Coordinating, leading and delegating tasks to direct the project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A deep understanding of Australian manufacturing standards, workshop and production safety.
* Leadership and task delegation experience.
* Experience with equipment design, development and project engineering for mobile equipment.
* Manufacturing experience with mining vehicles highly desirable.
