Job Title: Animal Care Professional
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the successful candidate to undertake various activities related to animal management.
* The primary objective of this position is to provide efficient customer service by responding to enquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team environment, assisting the community in achieving and implementing corrective actions related to animal confinement, behavior, and care. Key responsibilities include:
1. Attending on-site situations requiring resolution to protect community safety, such as livestock wandering, dog attacks, animal welfare complaints, patrols of dog parks, and securing roaming dogs.
2. Participating in an after-hours roster to respond to telephone enquiries and provide emergency animal management services.
3. Maintaining records and systems related to the position.
4. Managing enforcement cases from start to finish, including follow-up, preparing recommendations for meetings, and updating databases.
5. Providing advice and education to external customers on animal management issues, responsible pet ownership, and related laws.
