The Team
The Switchboard Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across three shifts: 7am – 3pm (Day), 3pm – 11pm (Afternoon), and 11pm – 7am (Night). The night shift is in the Emergency Department, combining Switchboard and Emergency Triage Clerk duties. Operators will book visitors' unit accommodation, complete On Call Rosters, greet doctors, provide keys, assist with reception duties, and may cover internal mail clerk and Parkside reception. Successful applicants should be available for short-notice call-in across all shifts and may work at North West Regional Hospital or Mersey Community Hospital.
The Role
Provide professional and confidential reception services via the Switchboard, Main Reception, and Emergency Department Reception, ensuring immediate attention to patients presenting for treatment.
Undertake all administrative functions related to processing emergency admissions and after-hours direct admissions.
Details of Appointment
Permanent part-time shift worker position, 8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. For a period of twelve months from publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.
Salary
$73,811 to $79,779 per annum (pro rata) plus a 12% superannuation contribution. Salary range follows the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement ****.
