Zancott are looking for a Service Technician to join our clients workshop team in Pakenham.
ABOUT THE ROLE
If you're a qualified tradesperson who loves solving mechanical problems and getting equipment back in top shape, this is for you. We're recruiting a Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair our fleet of equipment. You'll work in a workshop environment, take ownership of each job, and help ensure our equipment is reliable and ready for our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carry out mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing and routine maintenance of equipment
* Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine cause of problems and failures
* Repair equipment to restore full functionality
* Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
* Inspect returned equipment and report any damage to management
* Clean and prepare equipment for hire
* Monitor reliability and equipment readiness at branch level
* Build strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
* Support the team with other duties as directed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Trade qualification in mechanical, hydraulics, fitter and/or auto electrician
* Ability to work effectively in a workshop environment
* Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to multi‐task and be adaptable
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Reliable, self‐motivated and willing to work
* Knowledge of hire industry fleet servicing and maintenance (desirable)
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Trade qualification (mechanical, hydraulics, fitter and/or auto electrician)
* Class C driver's licence
* High Risk Work Licence – LF (forklift)
* High Risk Work Licence – WP (elevating work platform)
* Pre‐employment medical required for successful candidates
