Recruitment Advisor – Accounting & Finance
Our client is a large federal government department that has responsibility for the safety and security of Australia and its citizens.
HorizonOne Recruitment are the leading specialists in recruitment across federal government departments, and have been engaged to assist this government agency recruit a number of vacancies given surge work requirements.
The Opportunity
Work with a team known for a great culture, where you will be offered an initial 6‑month contract opportunity. You will be a part of BAU work as well as numerous projects and be working alongside strong performing team members.
You will enjoy:
* Mentorship/training from the Accounts Payable Manager
* Strong autonomy within the role as this organisation trusts its staff to achieve their outcomes

The Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Process invoices and accounts payable transactions
* Respond to finance‑related enquiries via phone and email
* Maintain accurate records in financial systems
* Support compliance with finance policies and procedures
* Project work as required
The Ideal Person
You will be a high performing, tech‑savvy, finance‑minded professional who enjoys hard‑working and fast‑paced environments and takes pride in your work. A high level of attention to detail is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important as being able to work within the team and with external stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role. You will also be able to think independently to solve problems and show initiative.
An existing Baseline clearance is required for this role.
