The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead marketing campaigns for a leading B2B exhibition series.

In this role, you will plan and deliver integrated campaigns that drive exhibitor demand and visitor growth. Working closely with the Group Marketing Director and Event Director, you will shape target audiences, messaging and campaign priorities while leading marketing activity across the full channel mix.

The role covers attendee acquisition, audience development, exhibitor lead generation and partnership marketing.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the B2B exhibitions industry and wants to take ownership of marketing delivery for a major event portfolio.

We are open to candidates at both Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Manager level, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

Planning & strategy

* Develop and execute the marketing strategy in partnership with the Group Marketing Director.
* Define target audiences, brand positioning and messaging to drive exhibitor demand and visitor growth.
* Develop and implement the annual marketing plan and campaign calendar aligned to commercial objectives and event timelines.
* Set campaign priorities across audiences, messages and channels at each stage of the campaign.
* Lead and manage partnerships with associations, media and industry groups to expand reach and accelerate audience growth.
* Use market insight, audience data and campaign performance to grow audience scale and quality and refine targeting strategies.
* Drive audience data acquisition and database growth to expand the event's addressable market.
* Build a strong understanding of the industries the events serve to identify market opportunities and emerging audience segments.
* Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints

Execution & management

* Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across email, digital, social, content, partnerships and traditional media.
* Manage the end-to-end customer journey across all marketing touchpoints, from acquisition through to the on-site event experience.
* Manage email campaigns including content, targeting, sends and reporting.
* Write campaign copy across email, website, digital and social channels.
* Oversee social media strategy, content planning and performance tracking.
* Work with agencies and internal teams to deliver and optimise campaigns.
* Support exhibitor, sponsor and partner marketing initiatives to extend reach.
* Manage PR, media and content opportunities to increase awareness and profile.
* Optimise website and digital channels to convert audience interest into registrations.
* Partner with the sales team to support exhibitor acquisition, retention and lead generation initiatives.
* Guide and support the Marketing Coordinator in campaign delivery.

Monitoring & results
* Ensure marketing activity supports visitor growth, buyer quality and exhibitor lead generation.
* Track campaign performance, registrations and channel results, optimising activity, budgets and ROI.
* Analyse campaign and post-event performance to identify insights and improve future campaigns.
* Provide clear reporting with insights and recommended next steps.

Other responsibilities

* Lead and support on-site marketing activity during events.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver event features and activations.
* Support additional projects during peak campaign and event periods.

About you

Experience

* 3+ years' marketing management experience within B2B exhibitions
* Experience contributing to or supporting event marketing strategy including positioning, messaging and audience targeting
* Proven experience delivering integrated campaigns in a fast-paced environment

Capability
* Strong digital marketing capability across email, social, paid media and web
* Data-driven mindset, using performance insights to optimise campaign results
* Creative marketer with strong attention to brand and design

Leadership & behaviour
* Experience guiding junior team members or coordinating campaign delivery.
* Proactive and accountable with the energy and tenacity to drive outcomes
* Clear communicator who works effectively with internal teams, partners and suppliers
