The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team within a fast-paced FMCG food and beverage environment. This role is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of a high volume of supplier invoices.
This position is ideal for an AP professional who is early in their AP career or looking to step into a more dynamic, inventory-focused environment. Full training will be provided. There is also potential to broaden your skill set across other areas of finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently across multiple companies
* Perform 3-way matching (invoice, purchase order, goods receipt) item invoicing
* Process service invoices including logistics, freight, warehousing, marketing, and office expenses
* Manage invoice discrepancies, price/quantity variances, and resolve supplier queries promptly
* Ensure correct allocation of costs across entities, cost centres, and inventory accounts
* Maintain supplier master data and ensure compliance with internal controls and approval workflows
* Prepare and process bi-monthly and monthly payment runs
* Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding items
* Manage and process all company credit card accounts reliably allocating costs to the general ledger
* Assist with month-end close, including accruals and AP reconciliations
* Support financial statement audits by providing documentation and explanations as required
* Collaborate with procurement, production, and inventory teams
* Contribute to process improvements within Accounts Payable.

What You'll Bring:
Essential
* 2-3 years' experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in FMCG, manufacturing, or inventory-driven environments
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume setting
* Intermediate excel skills (VLOOKUP/SUMIF, pivot tables)
* Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
Desirable
* Experience processing large volumes of invoices across multiple entities
* Understanding of inventory and manufacturing transactions
* Experience using A/P automation tools
* ERP experience (e.g. SAP Business 1)

* Confident communicator when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Proactive, reliable, and accountable for delivering accurate outcomes
