Job Description

The Implementation Specialist role has global responsibility for the successful operational implementation across all IFM domestic and global asset classes of new products, restructures, closures, complex transitions and operating models across Operations, Data & Technology (ODT).

The role reports to the Executive Director, Director and Associate Director of the Implementation Team and works closely with key stakeholders to ensure IFM drives consistency and best‐in‐class implementation across all products, with the objective of seamless integration and positive client experiences.

The Implementation Specialist will be a seasoned leader with strong stakeholder management presence and the ability to consult with clients and senior management, influence decisions, and guide teams to improve processes.

Specific Areas Of Responsibility

* Plan, coordinate and project manage the delivery of new product, restructure, closure, transition and operating model design activities across operations end‐to‐end.
* Plan, coordinate and project manage the onboarding of operational vendors globally to support our products, including administrators, depositories, investment managers and custodians.
* Engage in internal and external client discussions and relationship management activities as required to understand client needs.
* Liaise with and coordinate custodians, administrators, depositories, investment managers and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion of implementation activities.
* Ensure appropriate levels of governance are applied to all implementation activities.
* Facilitate information provision to internal and external stakeholders, including decision‐making committees, to help ensure no additional risk to the management of client assets during implementation.
* Train, develop and guide staff to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.

Your Background And Experience

* 6 to 9 years in Financial Services, with specific technical knowledge of areas such as Fund Accounting, Unit Pricing Performance & Risk Analytics, Investment Administration & Custody Operations across listed and private investment and global products.
* Preferred 1.5+ years in a direct investment product implementation / transition management or project management role, with a proven track record.
* Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, finance or related field.
* Knowledge or qualifications in project management and governance.
* Prince2 or PMP well regarded.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Business acumen, financial metrics and key performance drivers.
* Strong financial knowledge.
* High level numerical skills required.
* Understanding of taxation laws, regulations and governance requirements as they relate to IFM Investors.
