Event Manager – Corporate Affairs
The Event team's role is to deliver exceptional events that generate inspiring engagement opportunities for our people and support the Bank's strategic priorities.
The Event Manager role will report into the Business Partner – Events and is based in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver a wide variety of internally focused strategic and business events for the Bank's Executive Leadership team.
Deliver Recognition and Retention events across the Bank.
Develop event concepts and deliver complete end-to-end event management on a variety of event programs that support growth objectives along with business and people engagement goals.
Build and manage project plans and lead small to medium sized working groups to ensure the delivery of work on deadline and to the highest quality.
Proactively manage and foster strong relationships to effectively influence complex senior stakeholder groups.
Use AI, event and technology platforms to improve data management and reporting opportunities.
Ensure all risk and compliance requirements are identified and managed.
Identify and implement improvements (process, value for money, contract negotiations, etc.) to drive greater operating efficiencies and effectiveness for the event team.
Supplier governance – work in conjunction with compliance, risk, procurement and event team members to manage interactions with suppliers and maximise relationships.
Develop, maintain, and improve relationships with agencies and external suppliers and nurture existing business partnerships.
Deliver operational excellence in all facets of event planning and delivery.
Acutely manage expenses and budgets.
Deliver all post-event reporting and analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
Exceptional stakeholder management experience and proven ability to influence complex senior stakeholder groups.
Extensive experience in a large corporate organisation or finance background; exposure to a corporate structure is an advantage.
Proven experience in employee engagement / recognition program planning and execution.
Demonstrated experience in using AI to plan and produce events.
Ability to manage large volumes of work with competing priorities and deadlines.
Strategic thinking abilities – anticipate tasks and understand overarching ripple effects and required actions, especially when changes occur.
Experience working with constant change and ambiguity, proven ability to manage and deliver as required.
Work extremely well under pressure and remain calm to make decisions.
Strong ability to flex to ever-changing, fast-paced needs of the organisation and events, managing multiple competing deadlines.
Proven experience in running virtual and hybrid events and managing all AV and production suppliers and external agencies.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail.
Experience working independently as well as collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
Extensive experience with Aventri (Stova) or similar event registration management systems.
Proficient in MS Office, AI suite of tools such as Chat GPT and Co-Pilot, excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
A genuine enthusiasm for events and natural curiosity to seek the best strategy for a successful event, elevating the experience each time.
Additional Information
This is a full-time role (minimum 50% of your month in the office).
After-hours work and flexibility from time to time is required to deliver events.
You must be able to travel as and when the event calendar requires.
