• Day to day support of the Workshop Manager in all general service
enquiries including quotations, sub-contractors/suppliers, orders and
control of stock, consumables etc. in the workshop.
• Assist with providing direction and support to a team of mechanical fitters and
liaising with mechanical engineers to ensure that the jobs are performed safely, required quality standards, on time and efficiently.
• Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement programs
• Development of specific quality documentation and repair plans/procedures
(Inspection and Test Plans, Inspection Record Sheets, Work Procedures) for
workshop and sub-contractor activities
• Ensure the QA documents, ITP, IRS are completed in accordance with the IPS system and required standards
• Understanding, implementing, and adherence to QA techniques and procedures
• Disassemble, inspect, repair & reassemble a variety of rotating equipment as relevant instructions, procedures drawings & QA documentation
• Review detailed drawings, specifications to then provide correct and relevant
instructions to team members
• Problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
• Development of high quality technical reports demonstrating IPS expertise
• Provide technical customer support to clients and internal sales team
• Participation in the training activities, as well as the development and execution
of training activities
