ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this is a hands-on HR role providing vital operational and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of the organisation’s people strategy. You will be directly involved in day-to-day HR activities, from maintaining systems and processes to supporting leaders and staff across the employee lifecycle.
At the same time, this role offers the opportunity to contribute and support the development and implementation of HR frameworks, programs, and initiatives as we upscale and grow. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a motivated HR professional looking to take the next step in their career, combining practical HR experience with the chance to make a meaningful impact on organisational culture and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain HR systems, employee records, contracts, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Monitor mandatory compliance requirements, including certifications, clearances, and role-specific qualifications.
* Complete end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
* Provide day-to-day HR advice to leaders and staff in line with employment legislation, Fair Work obligations, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
* Support the HR Business Partner in implementing HR frameworks, including performance management, learning and development, workforce planning, and organisational design.
* Implement, upgrade, and optimise HRIS platforms, including Employment Hero, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
* Contribute to initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, organisational culture, and wellbeing.
* Work closely with the HR Business Partner to support ongoing HR projects designed to enhance our workforce, engagement, and position in the market as an employer of choice.
* Assist with workforce reporting, HR data insights, and continuous improvement of HR practices.
Skills & Experience
* Qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, providing support to managers and employees.
* Experience with HR administration, compliance, and employee records management.
* Experience coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
* Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Employment Hero or similar desirable).
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work obligations, and safeguarding requirements.
* Ability to support HR frameworks including performance management, learning and development, workforce planning, and organisational design.
* Strong organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, whilst working collaboratively across teams.
